"I can really tell how much care went into these plants. They arrived safely with almost no damaged limbs and little to no melt. The buy 2 get one free deal gave me 3 big healthy bunches that quickly filled up the spot in my large aquarium!" -Eel

"I received my plant packaged nicely and arrived healthy. It's been in my tank for a week and has already grown so much! I love the way some leaves float to the top of my tank." -Littlesumoman

Choose your format: Loose bunch (4-6 stems) or rooted pot (6-10" tall)

Hardy, quick growing and unique, Brazilian Pennywort (Hydrocotyle leucocephala) doesn't even need to be planted! This sturdy South American plant is a haven for tiny fish and baby shrimp. Trim often, as it quickly runs and can take over a tank! Replant trims at the node (where little roots are growing), and you'll have a fuller, bushier looking plant.

Pennywort has the added advantage of being a bog type plant, meaning it will grow towards your light source until it grows right out of the water! It will eventually drape out the side of your tank, adding layers of stunning, dimensional foliage.

Bunch format: 4-6 collected stems (4-10" long), rooted. May have both emergent and submerged leaves.

Potted format: 6-10" tall, well-rooted in rockwool pot, excellent for bare-bottomed tanks. EMERGENT-GROWN OR SUBMERGED-GROWN

Growing Requirements:

  • Temperature: 65-80Β°F
  • pH: 6-8
  • Light: Lower to medium intensity
  • Growth rate: Fast upright/creeping
  • Root tabs: Not needed
  • Gets more compact in high light and CO2
  • Elegant shape and excellent shelter

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there’s always a chance of harmless hitchhikers like snails or dwarf shrimp tagging along with your plants!

I personally keep several beneficial snail species in my tanks, including Colorful Ramshorns, Bronze Bladder and Pond Snails, Mini Rams, and Malaysian Trumpet Snails. These snails stay relatively small, help clean the aquarium, and do not eat healthy plants or cause harm. However, if you’d rather avoid any hitchhikers, I highly recommend checking out our blog on how to safely disinfect aquarium plants before adding them to your tank:
How to Bleach Dip Aquarium Plants Safely

All plants are freshly snipped or harvested and packed right before shipment. I take great care in preparing every order and use methods that have consistently produced the best results over many years in the hobby. A lot of love goes into every package, so please don’t leave your plants sitting in a hot mailbox for too long πŸ™

Thank you for looking, aqua friends! πŸ’š
