Hello Alzheimer's Good Bye Dad - A Daughter's Journal

With the explosion of Alzheimer's among us, there is no better time than now to learn about this disease. My book about taking care of my father isn't just another caregiver story. Included are tips to explain what works when you're the caregiver. We need all the education we can get when we're doing 24/7 care. Caregiver burnout is very real. Know that 8 out of 10 caregivers die before the person they are taking care of. Though my family's story is similar to others on the market, the difference might be the fact that this elderly man had the run of an acreage surrounded by cornfields and bordering a busy highway. This was a situation that made for all sorts of adventures for a man with Alzheimer's and a few terrifying moments for his family. His actions certainly kept me, the daughter, trying to out guess Bill's next move for his own safety. With all that the disease threw at Bill Bullock, his wife, Sylvia, stands out for her strength, courage and determination to take care of Bill to the very end and against all odds in their home.
